Two kindergarten students have died in northern China after being forgotten and locked in a school bus on Wednesday, the Chongqing Morning Post reported.

Police in Dacheng county detained the driver, the bus attendant and the kindergarten head.

The victims, both boys and cousins to each other, went to the kindergarten by bus at around 9am but were left in the vehicle after it arrived.

It was unclear how long later they were found, but they were reported dead after being taken to hospital.

A video taken at the hospital showed that the boys both had grey faces and one had sweat soaked hair.

Authorities said the kindergarten has been shut down and an investigation was underway.

Agreed. They'd have to be locked in a sealed vehicle for hours on a scorching hot day to die from the heat alone, assuming you believe that between the two of them they couldn't figure out how to open a window. It would take even longer to die of dehydration or starvation - days. Either way, I doubt any of those fates would make them look like they've been beaten silly. That second kid especially - he looks like he took a few good shots to the face and his nose looks kinda sideways. Did they use each other as battering rams trying to break free? I wouldn't be surprised if some far darker details surface about the circumstances of this incident.

Don't they have security windows in busses that are easily broken/kicked out? Idk maybe they thought they would get in trouble or something...kids think some crazy shit sometimes.

I agree they do like like they've been beaten but you are wrong about the time it takes to die in a closed up vehicle on a hot day.The temp inside rises quickly,pets and babies suffer horribly before succumbing to hyperthermia.

i dont think they were beaten. its just that they probably died and lain in the bus floor when the blood clotting or whatever that is called happen. many of chinese made buses have those ribbed floors under the seats.
