2 Pilots and 11 European Turists Dead After Their Cessna Plane Crashed in Peru
A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan single-engine turboprop sightseeing plane crashed near the Nazca Lines in Peru yesterday around 1:00 PM. The two Peruvian pilots, Américo S. C. and his co-pilot Irenka G. d. C. and 11 tourists, 7 Italians aged 18–54, 2 Spaniards aged 52, and 2 Germans aged 77–78 were all killed. |

That guy really needs to clean the grime off his camera lens and I’m definitely not ever booking a sightseeing trip with that company. |

I wonder what caused the crash? This is one of the reasons I am always sketched out by these type of tourist destination services. You never know the condition of the aircraft or qualifications of the folks involved.

Peru's Aviation Accident Investigation Commission is analyzing a final radio transmission where the pilot reported mechanical failures. Investigators are also evaluating regional weather, as severe winds had recently suspended flights. Passengers victims: Yerro Alfredo A.M. and Ana Isabel S.M. from Spain. Andreas H and Gertrud Maria H. from Germany. Paolo G, Cristina Maria, Matteo, Pietro G, Elena S, Massimo A, and Lorenzo A. from Italy. |
