2 Men Shot Dead
In Itaguaí on 4th May 2018, 39 year old Renato do Rosário Braz + 45 year old Wallace Matias Xavier were shot dead. Police have stated that the murders happened due to a dispute about alternative transport between traffickers + militiamen in the Chaperó neighbourhood. |

One of them was connected to a cooperative of vans called Cooperita. Traffickers would have determined that militiamen - thugs who control the operation of alternative transportation in the region - would not charge a fee more than the drivers of the vehicles are required to pay. The order was not fulfilled. According to popular information, individuals in a car would have passed and made several shots coming to hit the victims. Also a suspected drug trafficker was killed during a police operation in the city so vans were set ablaze.  · |
