What I find just as frightening as the actual killing act itself, is those moments just before it happens...we, the "viewers," anticipate what's coming, but they had absolutely no clue, that moments later, they'd be before Almighty God, and their particular judgement; their eternal reward of either Paradise, or the Pit. I wonder if they ever even thought about such things, let alone what their last thoughts in this world were?!
