Sounds a bit crazy but totally logical = Wait until they fall unconscious - Now the stronger swimmers go pull them in - Take your time in recovery but but as hasty as you can be - just don't deplete your energy too fast... You have a few minutes to get them out... Resus |

I wonder if they did free floating on their back, would they be alive? It's not that hard, I dunno how to swim but I know how to float still on my back.
