That has already been tried - apparently it didn't produce long term benefit. Google the great Baltimore fire of 1904. It is second only to the Chicago fire of 1871, courtesy of Mrs O'Leary's cow, among American city fires (OK the fire in the wake of the SF earthquake is in there too, but that disaster is usually remembered mainly for the earthquake.)

Now if we could just get him to not record vertically, we'd have a winner!

Holy shit that was awesome when the flammable-carrying tanker went over the rail! Unfortunately, that huge fire didn't do much to help melt the ice. Either way, it acted like God's road flare to give everyone else a heads up... so at least they knew they were fucked as they slid into the inferno.
It wouldn't be "awesome" if it were you, or one of your family members.. douchebag! Well...Actually for me...it would.
