Actually in the modern civilized world that doesn't happen, if it did PBR would be shut down by the ASPCA and PETA immediately. You're referring to something you read 20 years ago that they do in rual Mexico. That's not actually an accepted practice in most places.

Of course it doesn't happen in America - bulls are treated like kings there mostly. But the "uncivilized rural Mexicans" that people refer to, probably have more things to worry about, like paying for their next meal and home and not getting hacked to death by drug cartels, rather than about social justice and animal rights.
