zimbabwe, The government will meet funeral expenses for 18 people who died in a horrific road accident on Sunday afternoon.

Eight members of the one family, seven from another family and three other people, who are still to be identified, perished in the accident.

Both families were travelling on holiday.

The accident occurred along the highway when a white Isuzu double cab truck belonging to one family collided head-on with a BMW in which the other family had boarded a lift.

Fourteen people died on the spot, while the remainder succumbed to their injuries on admission to Hospital.

The director in the Department of Civil Protection said the Government will assist in the burial of the deceased.

Government will assist with $2 500 per head and for those without funeral policies. Government will avail coffins and transport.

To those who are currently hospitalised, Government will assist by meeting all the medical bills.

I'm guessing that one or both of the vehicles were zipping right along. Damn vehicles...those vehicles are responsible for this entire horrid, hellacious, heinous, horrific, harmful, hellish, words fail me to be able to describe this heartbreaking scene. Especially the heartrending, hopeless, histrionic, wailing of an apparent child in pain. We need to call for the services of the janitors to assist in cleaning up after those hateful, haggard, hopelessly destroyed vehicles.
