17-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Upper Manhattan
Jun 28, 2023- UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — A teenager was shot and killed in Upper Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon, a police spokesperson confirmed to Patch. A 17-year-old was shot in the chest about 4 p.m. at 2971 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, near West 157th Street within the Polo Grounds NYCHA complex, police said. He was rushed to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. In the moments after the shooting, a male fled the scene, police said. It is unclear what took place before the shot was fired, police said. |

Not the most remarkable video on here, considering we've been spoiled with boulders, scalpings, people getting run over, etc, but I will note that there are at least four or five cops just milling around doing absolutely NOTHING. You only need ONE dude to perform CPR, and at least two to serve as witnesses. The other ones are just....standing around....with a killer on the loose....  |

I know this guy was already gone but (if anybody has legit medical experience/knowledge) can someone describe the balance between CPR & reducing blood loss? I didn't see anyone trying to impede blood loss here & I'm guessing that the pressure of CPR would contribute to it.
