Might have been better off crashing into the truck, rather than dropping the bus 200ft.

The truck was definitely at fault. Crossed into oncoming traffic while the bus was entirely visible. Maybe it's from being loaded and going too fast but for as long as it took the truck to stop it seems as if the brakes didn't work that well and instead of running into the rocks himself he endangered other peoples lives. Sounds like he gave out a honk to initiate concern of his problem.

Just Type "Kerala Bus Driving" in youtube and you ll get the sense of their Driving (Similar Driving culture in Sri Lanka I am guessing ). These bus drivers have to make certain rounds to finish up in a day for incentives and there is a sort of pride and heroism attached to it ,you can spot stickers like Dare devil or Made for race ect LOL. 100% Avoidable but impatience of both the Truck and Bus driver killed so many, more so on the Bus driver side as he was also on the Cliff side.Poor Pasengers.
