That's not buckshot, it's birdshot; if it was buckshot he would not have known what hit him, he would have been dead before he could say anything at all. Bird shot makes a bloody mess up close, but it does not penetrate deep enough (for the most part) to be lethal. As for shell capacity, a standard 2 3/4 00 buck shell holds 9 pellets, a 3 inch shell holds 12.

How do you know it wasn't a 3.5 inch?
I don't care if it was loaded with rock salt, at that range any load from a 12 guage is deadly. Besides that, what cop in a 3rd world country is gonna have his shotgun loaded with birdshot?

I remember this video from several years ago. Even in context, I never understood what this guy did to deserve being shot in the chest point blank. He was unarmed, choking, and blinded from tear gas. :-/

It was a hostage situation. When the hostages came running out, one of the police thought that this guy was a hostage taker disguised as a student. That's why he shot the guy. I never heard whether he was or wasn't a hostage taker. He did die thought, after a little bit of rolling around.

This was a hostage situation.
They threw in tear gas and started to kill the bad guys inside with snipers. One of them decided to mix in with the hostages escaping, and the police noticed him, and shot him.
