We've elongated life expectancy. They just pile the old folk into these places for their final years because too frail to care for one's self. Can only fix so much until it all breaks down. When we cure Alzheimer's and make the human body more hardy, this won't be a big problem, until we're overly-over-populated with old people barely functioning anyway. Highrise buildings they stuff the elderly in as HUD housing is pretty sad as well. |

Assisted suicide IS legal in the U.S.... The prerequisite, you have to commit a heinous crime first and hope to get the death penalty.  |

I'd rather go out into the woods and have someone put a bullet in my brain before going into a nursing home.
