An eye-opening incident happened which appears straight out of an action movie in which a man tried to move an obstruction WITH HIS LEG in a woodchipper. Miscalculated act stuck his foot in a working woodchipper and he was brought to tertiary care in extremely sensitive condition. Unfortunately, the procedure in which he underwent lead to amputation.

In the municipality of Banzaê, Bahia state, Brazil, a worker, Edenilto P.d.S., was operating a woodchipper on a farm when the machine became clogged. Edenilto attempted to push the blockage through with his foot, and in doing so cleared the path for the rotating blades to suck him in. He died shortly after surgery to remove the chipper.
