Case of a patient who was in a side by side accident, resulting in a severe hand injury which resulted in thumb and index finger amputation along with skin grafting and bone fixation with K-wires. Last two photos show the hand after surgery.
Hand injuries are common consequences of vehicle accidents, often caused by the force of the impact. Like other auto accident injuries, they can be very serious and significantly impact the quality of the victim's life.
