A woman underwent months of hospital treatment in Davao City and was reported to have died on July 25, 2018. She received care at Davao Doctors Hospital and Southern Philippines Medical Center and underwent extensive surgery.

Balut is an egg with a half formed chick in it. It’s a delicacy in the Philippines. I guess she ate a bad one and got severe food poisoning.

I can only guess in that case she had anaphylactic shock for her to need breathing equipment and all that surgery. Maybe all her organs where shutting down. Puzzling though.
