Perhaps young enough to heal, recover, strengthen herself, and adapt to her new life without too much trouble.

I appreciated that so many bystanders seemed genuinely concerned, i.e. a lot of running around, flapping of arms, and shouting. I saw the young lady's severed leg stuck against the guardrail, but there appeared to be another big fleshy object in the road, closer to the other woman lying on her back. I couldn't make out what it was. It reminded me of a Christmas ham, though, for some reason.
