It says she was pulled in when her scarf got caught, her throat swelled up and she coughed up blood. So it was the scarf around her neck, and her hair must have been caught as well.

Never wear loose clothing, rings, necklaces, bracelets, fucking scarves, or let your hair down when working on or near heavy/rotating machinery. It's common fucking sense. Any machine will have no mercy when you are complacent.

Her scarf was caught up too, and she was literally being choked to death. It doesn't take much to crush a larnyx.

I think it's more likely her hyoid bone was fractured. Common place in nearly all cases of ligature strangulation.
