CHL, they want the patient alert incase they knick something, they can find out if anything was affected either by the foreign object or the surgical tools. Pre-dialysis, I had a procedure that required me to be alert while surgeons inserted a wire into carotid and push the damn thing out to the other side of chest to create a catheter for dialysis access. Took 45 minutes. Got thru it ok.  |

Could have given her a numbing agent at least..jeesh.. (Get the EDExitVideo guy in there.. he'll pump her full of lidocaine! )That was a pretty big bullet.. she's lucky.. |
