At least she made it to the hospital, I think about half the women on that TV show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" usually end up curled up on the bathroom floor or sitting on the toilet when they give birth! My best friend has 3 kids, and all 3 of her labors went SO frigging fast they barely managed to get her into a room in time before she started crowning. No time for an epidermal or anything. And she has a worse pain tolerance then me!  |

The baby was alive and moving a bit, but was far from vigorous, color of the face was a bit blue, breathing was not strong. Lack of crying was worrisome, and low APGAR score I would guess. There is an O2 crisis here.  |

True, but the 5 minute APGAR is actually more accurate than the one done almost as soon as the baby's out.
