I’ve kept this thread open in my tabs for a few days because I keep coming back to read about. It’s interesting, nestled within a death forum. Not the average hit-and-run or beheading. I’ve read the associated article that was posted about it. I keep wondering how this girl got so jacked up the way she did (my phone autocorrected to “hacked up” which would also be appropriate). There’s only one logical conclusion I can come up with!

The drano suicide and subsequent coverup. It’s just a theory someone else mentioned, but it makes the most sense to me.

They eat balut on the streets in The Phillipines. I saw it on TLC´s ¨Before the 90 Days,¨last night! Gross and gruesome!

When I was stationed there....the locals tried to get me to eat that shit. I held it up to the light and gagged. I said fuck that....bring me another San Miguel.

ok....ok, I found the Balut story!!!! She did not die and the story spiraled on Facebook into a gorey death story. How much do I love what I do? lol
Facebook is usually filled with shocking and unusual stories from people across the globe. Here in our country, we have watched and read scenarios from celebrities down to regular people. With just a click away, you can easily share awareness or reminder to people even if they’re a thousand miles away from you. One terrible story recently alarmed the public, when a woman shared her almost life-threatening experience after eating a balut.
Rio Valerio Mendoza, a mother of two girls in Davao city, who wrote her story on Facebook which has now gained 32 thousand likes and 42 thousand shares.
She said that March 17, 2018 was a normal day for her as she was excited to see her daughters perform on their school during their “Sayawitan” activity. The program lasted up to 11 in the evening which prompted her daughter then requested for them to buy food because she was hungry.
It was already late and most stores were closed already. She then remembered walking by a balut vendor, so the three decided to went back. Rio was able to buy her girls two pieces each while she decided to buy three for herself.
As soon as they got home, the three of them happily ate their midnight snack. Upon looking at the balut’s appearance, Rio was disgusted, however, she still ate the whole thing.
It was already too late when the netizen realized that she ate the white part of the balut which was hard as a rock. She panicked and quickly requested for water to try and flush the rock-like thing in her throat.
Her mom immediately rushed her to Razo Hospital but the doctor advised her to be confined on a different hospital. When they arrived at another hospital, the doctor also failed to help her. Rio was passed from one doctor to another and people are seemingly at a loss at how to rescue this poor woman.
She went through a throat operation and was later X-rayed after she felt some pain in her back and right chest. Rio didn’t expect that her simple craving for balut which only cost PHP 17, instantly cost her half a million pesos. The young mother urgently reminded the netizens that while it’s okay to feast, they should always be cautious of what they eat or drink.
