So, after reading the comments, it looks like she choked and the surgery was in some type of attempt to save her. I don’t think we’re being told the truth though, that looks like pretty clear chemical burns from the inside out. You never know though. I did find an article that stated that some of these eggs are younger than they should be, and with dangerous chemicals, can be made to appear more developed, which makes it easier for producers to have more developed eggs. It sounds pretty awful, so I guess there’s a chance that the balou she ate was poisoned. I lived in the Philippines nearly 20 years, and ate balut twice. First time I was shitfaced, and it was okay. Second time i was not so drunk, and I nearly threw up. Never tried a third time! Why the fuck would you?  |
