I agree, suboxone is better. I used to shoot up dilaudid, and I took suboxone for a few days when I was kicking. And it, unlike methadone, doesnt get you high. Nor do you have to go through weeks of withdrawal when its discontinued. The fact that methadone is still used to treat opiate addiction is mind blowing to me.

Dilaudid is highly over rated. I was given 40 tabs of it last week by a surgeon as I recently had ankle surgery. It made me feel just a little bit mellow and was not effective for the pain. I actually went back to plain old ibuprofen tabs and got more pain relief with those.

This gets VERY dangerous if confused in a hospital. I had a nurse think hydromorphone was the generic for morphine. The patient was receiving 4mg of morphine every 4 hours, the nurse switched her to 4mg of Hydromorphone every 4 hours, the patient slipped into respiratory failure and died.

Wait, isn't Hydromorphone on the Beer's List? I hate the overuse of potent narcotics on the elderly. I also love working in Geriatrics and Long term care. Great folks and you are right about their stories!
I've also done OPANA - which is pretty hardcore... I know that it has oxycontin and morphine in it.... That shit will fuck you UP. But I gotta say, I've never injured myself when under the influence of dilaudid or any other painkiller.

This only happens if you're a fucking MORON.
Opana (oxymorphone) is the best though
