definitely probably not a good idea, but i'm known for bad decisions, so i might end up doing it anyway  i'll definitely update this post with pics and maybe a video. |

That is the scaphoid bone, the most common place for injury. Have you fallen on your hand or hit it recently? It's possible that it just shifted and bruised the ligament.
