She shouldn't have held the baby up if the placenta is still in her uterus and the cord is still attached. All the blood probably rushed down out of the baby and when the cord is cut, the baby will have less blood than it needs. I wonder what happened after this pic.

Beautiful. Not on my first but my future wife will give birth in a tub w/o the assistance of a physician like humans have been doing since day 1.
