The umbilical cord is normal. That's how they all look, pretty much. But the mother's posing like this and her expression is definitely. Weird...and so is leaping up to take a photo like that before even delivering the placenta....Maybe she was letting gravity help deliver the placenta. But judging by the color of the baby, it looks as if he hasn't even pinked up yet (indicitive of less that a few minutes old), so this disproves retained placenta; why would she need gravity assist for placental delivery? I think it's a clear case of "Hey, props to me, lookit what I can do!"   |
