Re: Weird Baby Deformity...what is It?

kao07 got it, it appears. Damn! The drawing didn't post!

Arthrogryposis is a condition of the joints and muscles that impairs children’s abilities to use their shoulders, wrists, fingers, and lower extremities. From the early evaluation stages to creating a long-term treatment plan, Nemours’ world-renowned orthopedics experts will work closely with your family to determine the best arthrogryposis treatment for your child.

Arthrogryposis refers to a broad group of disorders that result in stiffness or loss of motion of multiple joints. There are many variations of this disease, some mild and some severe. In mild cases, only a few joints may be affected and the child may have nearly full range of motion. In extreme cases, nearly every joint is impacted, including those of the jaw and back.

For most types of arthrogryposis, we don’t fully understand why children have the condition. Some forms of arthrogryposis are the result of disorders of the nerves or muscles. Arthrogryposis can also be part of other medical conditions or syndromes.

Most forms of arthrogryposis cannot be cured. However, splinting, bracing, occupational and physical therapy, and orthopedic surgery can help to maintain and maximize a child’s range of motion and function.

Here is a link with a drawing as well.

Re: Weird Baby Deformity...what is It?

Some selfish breeder fuck too selfish to cvare that their baby could come out like that
Perhaps the parents wanted the baby and loved him or her and didn't want to give him or her up for a change!

So many disposable babies in the world!

In my case, inquiring minds wanted to know :) I learn something new pretty much every day.

I had never heard of it either, but, I'd have to think the baby pictured above is a very severe case.

I don't know if his or her organs are compromised or not.

The little girl in the picture I added had a brace on her torso. Poor little baby :)

not every deformity or defect is caused by the parents, some are genetic and some just chance. most of the time, drug use results in mental illness/retardation more so than physical defects

Re: Weird Baby Deformity...what is It?

Spina bifida can cause this also. In spina bifida, the posterior portion of the affected vertebrae fails to form. With no posterior arch, the body can be contorted dramatically. Variations of severity of SB range from that baby to having no symptoms at all. Just another etiology for that baby's condition.

Re: Weird Baby Deformity...what is It?

I only knew of the condition after following a British paralympic dressage rider called Lee Pearson who has it.
He puts many able bodied horse riders to shame with just how fantastic he can ride :D
