Where one crushes Tylenol #3 tablets into a powder, mixes it with cold water and puts it in the fridge. Most of the Tylenol sinks to the bottom but the codeine remains in solution.

He's not addicted (yet). No addict wakes up smiling. I've given Narcan many times and one of the first things you learn is to give just enough to get them breathing again and let the ER worry about a full dose. If you give them a full dose, you'll have a puking, pissed off junkie in full withdrawal on your hands.

LOL... You mean like Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Alabama, Mississippi, etc? You might want to read up a bit on drugs, crime, and homelessness in rural America. Red states are the biggest recipients of welfare and Medicaid, and have some of the highest rates of drug ODs and crime.

We had one patient that overdosed THREE TIMES in one day. He was narcan'd the first 2 and came back, left AMA, the third time he came in dead. If that's what they want, that's what they'll do. F 'em.
