Update to Mum's Gnarly Leg
So she was discharged after the visit about a month ago, to see if the problem would keep behaved and the water continuing to filter out the correct way, and not burst out the leg... (Pics are in chrono order the first few are of the day it was dressed and found needed to come back and made an appt which were at now) So last Tuesday when it was taken down to be dressed she had pain, and draining and some pics were taken, they are the first ones, then the other is today here at the wound clinic it's currently happening I'll add some pics, the gel liquid coming from the wound is a numbing agent, the pain is pretty intense at time she complains, I fucking would too. I was praised for calling the shot to get back into the clinic at the first sign of pain though at the wound area obviously meaning can be bacterial So doctor dictates Two layers compression instead of a Duke wrap with antiseptic and iodasorbe and a triple concoction they whip up here with zinc and an antifungal and an "optilock" to ultra absorb! The doctor said what can be very possible for fungal infection with this caribbean climate, so that's being taken into account, and may take a culture swab in the area next week to keep extra sure nothing is forming This is caused by water not properly being drawn upwards enough and filtered through the kidneys and urinated out like natural, compression socks are used to also help draw water out properly. |

Re: Update to Mum's Gnarly Leg
The diagnosis overall for anyone concerned is that it's doing VERY good and this is a sometimes miss sometimes hit thing that we don't have much control of, it either leaks or it doesn't as it's an ongoing treatment, she doesn't have diabetes and it's tested every few months and lives a decent lifestyle so it's not a diabetic thing thank Christ She has all new pink skin, which is a good thing and is growing excellently and in every area with all good signs, so everything is on the up and up, this just a super controllable thing <3 hearts out to the disease enthusiast I knew they'd want this update at least |
