Traumatic Amputation - Rail Traffic Accident

A young Engineering student sustained traumatic amputation of his right forearm in a rail traffic accident. Patient and the amputated part were transported for possible replantation. But unfortunately there was no possiblity of replantation.

After debridement it was decided to salvage the elbow so that prosthetic rehabilitation of the patient could be better.

Re: Traumatic Amputation - Rail Traffic Accident

I find it interesting that the hand is closed in a fist like that even after being detached from the body
