I cared for a patient in the hospital with a form of TEN caled Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. The patient had been prescribed and taken an antibiotic she was unaware she was allergic to. The allergic reaction ensued and SJS/TEN was the result. It was one of the cruelest conditions I had ever seen. If you have a allergy to any food or medication, make sure friends and family know. It's also imperative you put info in your wallet indicating any allergy... It can truly save your life...

I've actually treated a patient with this before... it's horrible. When shaking her to loosen lung secretions, their skin would sheer off under my hands |
