Unfortunately, my brother was not as careful as he should have been and this is the result. Mr. Thumb please meet Mr. 3000lb press. He said it popped like a zit when it happened.

I cringed. I did something similar to my middle finger as a kid (age 8). I tried to help my Dad bring a 50 lb salt block (for the water softener) into the laundry-room...it slipped and I TRIED to catch it... My middle finger got caught between the cement floor and the salt block... It popped like a berry. Finger guts all over the softener. Was actually able to stitch it up and have very little nerve/cosmetic damage.  |
