Re: Third Day of A Brown Recluse Spider Bite
I used to live down southeast US where the two most common house spiders were Brown Recluse and Black Widow. Widows I never worried about too much..they are easy to spot and tend to web places you don't go very often, but would find a Recluse in the house at least every other day. It is very important even if you are afraid of spiders to get to know what they look like so you can identify them by sight. It helps with the freaking out part, and can save yourself some pain lol. Sometimes it just can't be helped, they are so small compared to us it is easy to overlook them and then they can always get you in your sleep! DUN DUN DUNNNNN! ;)

Re: Third Day of A Brown Recluse Spider Bite
My dog was bit by one and the wound became a hole the size of a half dollar. Took months to heal. I was later bit on the thumb. It was painful at first but not like a wasp sting. My thumb swelled up and turned black and blue. I was lucky, suffering from a sinus infection at the time I was already on antibiotics. I did not have the necrosis you see in most bites.

Re: Third Day of A Brown Recluse Spider Bite
Healed pretty well I love seeing photos of the effects from venomous bites/stings I do so wish to see pictures of a bite from Sicarius hahnii (the recluse is related to S. hahnii), same effects except ALOT quicker (minutes into hours) and only 2 reported bites |
