Re: The Teeth of A Child Who Sucked Their Thumb Too Much
Oh man, I sucked my thumb till I was 8 and had my front teeth pushed forward but not like that! I was supposed to have braces for 3 years to fix it but only needed them for 6 month |

Re: The Teeth of A Child Who Sucked Their Thumb Too Much
My parents gave me my pacifier too long too. I had to have this bite corrected by speech therapy because I developed a lisp. The biggest issue isn't the misaligned teeth, it's the tounge thrusting forward that needs to be corrected. I'm glad mine wasn't this bad!

Re: The Teeth of A Child Who Sucked Their Thumb Too Much
I'm almost 30 and still suck my thumb. I only do it at night though now a days as it soothes me to sleep. I have perfectly straight teeth, not even so much as a mild overbite and the irony is I used to work as a dental technician! One day I did a casting of my own mouth at work and the only thing that was noticeable was my upper palatte is smaller than most other people's. |
