He was awake during that? Damn. Isn't it common policy to anaesthesize the patient if they've gone through a big trauma like that?

Strangely, those from the middle east make excellent doctors. Indians even more so. It's one of the most race-specific traits I've yet seen. Two of my anatomy professors are Indian, the other Nepalese. They tend to have an awful bedside manner but if you want it done right, have an Iranian or an Indian stitch you up. This was clearly an underequipped OR.
