I have a similar opinion, it's all about how the dog is brought up and trained, its not in any god to just be mean and hurt people and other animals, theres always a reason.

It's not the dog, idiots. Whether it was a pitbull or a poodle, animals are just animals. If you train a Doxon to bite, it's going to bite. I have a red-nose pitbull and the only time he has bit me was when I had a firework in my hand :) He doesn't like fire.

I myself have 4 pitbulls and they are the sweetest animals I ever had, they give my kids piggyback rides and guards them, but they have never bitten anyone and Ive had them for 3 years. so blame the owners.

I have owned and bred Bullies, Staffies and Pitbulls and you are right to an extent, they can be trained just like any other domesticated animal but the fact is they, just like all living animals have a mind of their own and a personality that goes along with it. Terriers of all types are called terriers for a reason.

The more aggressive of them have a base mentality that if someone/things shows signs of weakness or fear then they are inferior the to dog and the dog will be inclined to attack and if possible kill that weaker thing. All predatory animals instinctively seek weaker prey, its natures way and all the training in the world will not remove that.
