Re: Some EMO Girl Needs Serious Help
So what happened to the emo trend? Did they all cut themselves and die? I haven't seen an emo kid in years. |

Re: Some EMO Girl Needs Serious Help
You know what? If this poor girl was still here by some miracle and she read your post? Your words may have been all she needed to see to reassure herself that nobody cares and she might as well go ahead and do it... With that said...could you please...PLEASE explain one damn thing to me? Who designated you to be the one who says who should "leave this planet" and who should stay? She may have a ton of scars...and even more mental health issues that she needs help with but she is a human being and deserves to be treated as such... Oh! Hold on! I have a favor to ask of you... Could you please promise me something? Could you promise me that you won't ever seek employment at a crisis center? Thanks in advance... |

Re: Some EMO Girl Needs Serious Help
Jeeezzuuss..... calm down. If you're in-fact a flight nurse, then I respect and appreciate what you do. And I don't advocate anybody knocking themselves off, especially anyone who's hurting. But surely you realize that this girl is a BME girl. This is "living art" to her. She's fucked up all right, but she's not actually mentally ill. She does it to herself and she puts it out on the web, therefore she's fair game to make fun of IMO. Mental illness is not something to be taken lightly by society, but it's also not a catch-all to excuse any & all behavior. Most people who are "mentally ill" are perfectly high-functioning. While drugs can help, most patients need cognitive behavioral therapy as well, which focuses on teaching patients to recognize reality and the consequences of their behavior. Real mental health professionals don't excuse aberrant or self-destructive behavior, & they don't coddle their patients. In fact, indulgence is usually the worst thing anyone can do. |
