Re: Some EMO Girl Needs Serious Help
Joan is her mother, you will see that name occurring in some of the photos, I can't remember her name just now. She has an acquaintance here and the last we heard she was still at it. They do not believe in treatment for self harm or Borderline Personality Disorder in Germany so she is merely stitched up and sent back home. In America and in a lot world, the treatment for these disorders are DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

Re: Some EMO Girl Needs Serious Help
Except for one slip I have been cut free for 42 months. I went over three years and then had an upset. I still fight urges. I don't do it for attention, where I cut you can't see, not unless I'm wearing nothing but underwear; I cut so high up that I can wear short shorts. You may know a lot of cutters and not even realize it because we hide it. Ever had a friend who wore long sleeves or pants year round, maybe a LOT of bracelets, or someone who never ever went swimming or wore a swimsuit in the summer? If the wound is still bleeding or seeping, we will wear black or at least dark colors to hide it. I cut a lymph gland once and it seeped for over a month. Someone who repeatedly seemed to have a limp, and it changed sides? (that was me, fortunately I was a backpacker with bad knees and hips) Ever have a friend who seemed to have constant scratches and blamed her cat all the time? Ever have a friend who always carried a 1st Aid kit? My cover was a completely stocked hiking pack in the truck and going hiking a few times a week. Cutting relieves pent up emotional pain, anguish, anxiety, tension, fears, sadness, many things. Sometimes we are suicidal and we use the cutting to keep ourselves from committing suicide because we know that it would destroy our families. We feel better for a while after we cut, until the guilt and self recrimination sets in. Many, (but not all), cutters have been through some kind of trauma in their childhood. Something that has scarred them deeply. You may not ever understand, and that's ok, I think you have to be a cutter to get it and I'd rather you never be one. But maybe this gives a few answers. |

Re: Some EMO Girl Needs Serious Help
And been a member/lurker here for awhile, and these are some of the worst pics on the site. Can't believe some of them, and that they were willingly done. I think I looked at about 4 pics before scrolling to the end... this is probably the only post so far I haven't been able to get through, and I've waited awhile to gather the courage to look at it haha

I wish one of those "cutters" would slice their own head off and have a friend take pics of the entire process. Stupid cunts.

Re: Some EMO Girl Needs Serious Help
I know a kid who cuts himself, but nothing to this extent (yes, he's been hospitalized and takes medication now) The Hello Kitty bandaid was a nice touch. |
