no, i don't go that crazy. i only make one cut at a time. usually a 4 or 5 inch long cut, and i go down 1 to 1 1/2 inches deep. but i do try to cut veins. i do it to see blood, that's where i find the release. but in early november i went too far, i cut down almost 2 inches, the surgeon says i was 1/4 inch away from the femoral artery. i'm trying to quit.

Even a inch down is deep. I used to cut. I never went very deep. I regret doing it because my arms are all scarred to hell and it has been like 5 years since i cut.

all my cuts have been on my thighs. i change from one thigh to the other each time. i try to cut over existing scars so as not to create new ones. no one can see anything as they are up high enough that i can wear even short shorts. my biggest problem now is that the veins in the area are sclerosing, so they don't bleed as well, making me cut deeper for the same effect. that's why i need to stop. the cuts are becoming progressively more life threatening each time. on several cuts i've lost between 20 to 25% of my blood volume and become shocky.

i think i will always understand what i've done, but i look forward to the time when i am done, and hope that i am able to forgive myself for it. perhaps i should start a support thread in the water cooler area for those of us here who are/were cutters, for there are more than several.
