Yeah, without a skin transplant subsequent to the removal that wound was bound to get badly infected. Die from cancer or sepsis, I don't know which is better...

I'd have to disagree, I think something could have been done earlier in tandem with chemo.

Here in the US, you don't wait until the fucker is that big to slice it off and after it has already spread.

Attack early, and often.

Sure glad I don't live in sweden.

I think in this case the cancer had spread A LOT before that particular tumor even started growing (it's not the primary). You can even see the little black dots everywhere on her skin and in the wound, thats new tumors. Way too late for chemo, and if they thought the removal/operation itself would kill her I guess they'd rather don't.

Anyway, timely or not, at least we swedes don't have to pay a nickel for treatment
