Re: Severly Deformed Baby Born
Poor little boy has what's called holoprosencephaly. They don't usually live past an hour or so. The little boy's chest was already retracting severely with air hunger. I feel such sadness for a little baby who never for one minute had a chance.

Re: Severly Deformed Baby Born
Saw this posted on the Snopes FB group a day or two ago. Many idiots were commenting that it was fake. -_- Here is some more info/a case study on the condition: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/art...5/#!po=32.8947 I found it interesting that there are different categories of this birth defect, this is the worst example (alobar holoprosencephaly) and they don't live long, but people with lobar holoprosencephaly have much less severe deformities and can survive. It's also more common in other animals, there are videos of a goat that has cyclopia and managed to survive (which is rare). I was wondering when this would show up here. |

Jeeze. Poor little baby. Thankfully it would not suffer for very long. Occurrences like this really make you wonder how lucky we all are to make it out of the womb relatively unscathed. |
