[/MENTION]
Methadone is NOTHING like heroin... Was on both for many years.. It will not get you high at all when on a maintenance dose. Plus even if you take methadone as a first timer it's a shitty "high". It's much much harder to kick as well. Way better off kicking smack alone... It's all fuckin poison which pretty much ruined my life for keeps..
I COULD NOT AGREE ANY FUCKIN MORE I TOO AM CURRENTLY ON METHADONE

Yeah methodone is more or less a prison sentence, stuck living within a few miles of your chemist the rest of your life. It's possible to get takeaways here in NZ... I know a coupe of guys with very kind (possibly a bit naive) pharmacists... of course strong doses iv like clockwork several times per week, some sold/bartered etc... Must be quite the nightmare when this lifestyle takes priority over everything else, family, career, everything...

Re: Several Drug Complications

I suffer from chronic pain and as a result have pain patches.
Yesterday I found out that what is in my patch (buprenorphine) is given to heroin users .

After a quick Google, it looks like buprenorphine is Subutex, but Subutex is the brand name, buprenorphine is the substance. Good god, my penis is going to split open

Re: Several Drug Complications

I've been on methadone for 11 years, and haven't used an illicit drug in 11 years. Methadone saved my life. If you're sober and having to go to a clinic everyday, that sucks and I get your frustration. But I go once a month to get my medication, just like a diabetic picking up insulin. There's such a stigma with methadone maintenance treatment but people should really educate themselves. There's a lot of scumbags on the program, and those are the people that give the treatment a bad name. You seldom hear the success stories (like mine).

Re: Several Drug Complications

Attempted recreational subutex use..subuxone and subutex are desinged as to not be injectable..but these people done so anyways.

Just some Junkies tryin to get high off of drugs intended to help them curb their habit..

Reality? Subutex/Subuxone will just take the edge off of with withdrawl..won't really get a person who abuses opioids "High"... now if an average everyday "non-druggie" person takes one? They will be obliterated..Just the way the brain is wired..and in the case of a heroin addict? re-wired.

As for Methadone? may aswell just give them Heroin in the raw..it's Synthetic (man made) Heroin.

Not posted, but worth a mention, people used to inject oxycontin awhile back, can no longer do this, They changed the formulation, If someone were to crush the tablet/s and mix it with liquid, it will "Gel" up..They done this to prevent people from abusing it in this way.

The one photo they injected themselves with Zoldipem, Better known as Ambien...the ultra potent and contraversial sleep drug..What this person was attempting ..I have no clue..why in the hell would you shoot Ambien? I know it carries a risk of dependence. and one can build tolerance to the substance. But I see no recreational value of the drug other than sleep.. Just "eat" more of em..no need to shoot em up...

And as stated...bad filtration..(if any) will do this aswell.
Oxys can still be easily cooked still.

I’ve been in MMT treatment for 7 years now. In those 7 years I have graduated college, bought my own car, bought my own house, and go to work 6 days a week. I don’t think I would have ever accomplished these things without it. I guess it depends on the person.

Re: Several Drug Complications

I am currently a methadone patient coming off of shooting hydromorphone(dilaudid) and oxycodone, usually while mixing a little cocaine in with my shot. I will tell you that the people shooting suboxone or subtext are people just trying to replace one drug with another. I know the methadone isn't the best choice, but I am one of the few who actually got sick and tired of being sick and tired, starting to going to a methadone clinic for group therapy and a methadone dosage to keep even, while I try to reverse the damage I did for almost 10 years, and can honestly say it's all in the person's mindset. I am in a lot better place than I was. I am a father with a loving and supportive woman(their mother) and can work without worrying about what I'm going to do the next day to feel okay enough to actually work. Determination and motivation my friends. For all you judgemental fucks who have no idea what it's like

Same here, ER jumping just to get my Dilaudid hit and hope to get a script for Percocets. That was my daily life. Convincing docs I was sick enough to be admitted just so I would get a scheduled fix of drugs. My life consisted of waking up wondering where and when I'm going to get a fix and many times going to sleep that night with the same thoughts. I've been going to a methadone clinic for almost 3 years. It's nice to actually have life goals now that don't include an ER, hospital admission, or a pusher. It's definitely worked for me. Keep up the good work kcobirn 88

Re: Several Drug Complications

My neighbor guy is a current heroin addict (30yrs old) He admitted he’s gotten on saboxone within the last 2 weeks as his wife is due to have a baby any day and he wants to be “sober”. He says knows he can get addicted to it as he is truly scared of the withdrawal it procures so he takes less than the prescribed dose. Mhmmmm..
