Not having insurance doesn't mean you let that shit go so long - if you've got an open wound or seepage (as this idiot probably had loooong before the gangrene ate away so much flesh), GO TO THE ER. They'll treat you. Yes, it sucks for taxpapers and those WITH insurance (non-insured people hit up the ER for treatment on everything - and yes, I've known people like that and I HATE it - and because of it the cost is passed on to insurance companies and tax payers. Even so, I would LOVE to smack this guy in the head for being an idiot and not going. Jesus Christ man, protect your body from gaping wounds and rot, its' not like you'd've been going to the ER for a cold! |

To get an infection of such a nature, a person would need to be compromised with a severe underlying disease. You'd be surprised at the callous uselessness of American physicians. They regularly turn their elitist backs on people and let them die.
