Scar from Hip Replacement
This is my first time posting here. I haven't broke a bone or had any surgeries in my 33 years. A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with Legg Perthe disease and had to have a complete hip replacement. (Perthe disease causes avascular necrosis of the femoral head. This means that the blood supply to the femoral head is disrupted causing some of the bone to die and decay) I wish I had a video of the surgery but all I have is a after pic of my new huge scar.

Yes, thank you. The first few days were bad but I'm home now with my uber cool walker.  I think I'll be walking on my own at the 2 week mark. Youth and stubbornness is on my side.

Don't try to do too much too fast. You'll know what your body is ready for, it will tell you by way of pain. I hope you have a wonderful and speedy recovery .

Looked up that disease. Sounds like it's something only children usually get. At least you're on the fast track to recovery now.
