Rotting Foot.
Elderly man fell in the bathroom. Wife, who has Alzheimer’s, brought him blankets and food. She kept forgetting to call anyone to come help. Man laid there approximately 3 days on his side with a severely broken femur, which cut off blood supply to the foot. Foot was dead and beginning to rot off.

I think Judge Judy weighed in on the problem once - "If you're old and break a hip or something, it's all down hill from there." Another Judy quote - "Stop right there with the attitude, mister, or I'll have Byrd come over there and snap your spine!" Neither of these are exact quotes. |

Those things do not work. If you want to save the life of your elderly folks, make sure they are never alone!! Or please check on them every day!!!
