i suppose a fly in the eye is better than a fly in the fly but neither would be very pleasant.

the person is nearsighted and was reading a book and had the book too close and got jumped by a bookworm. that's why i quit reading books.

That is unreal. Imagine how the person felt with that inside their eye? It had to drive them to the edge of their sanity!
