Does anyone have the full story on this? It looks like she photographed right before she died, but her corpse looks rather decayed in the after photo. I just find the whole setup odd, I wonder if it was staged.

Yeah, If I'm right this picture is from South-America, and she was killed, then thrown into a river or lake (which is a very usual way getting rid of victims in South-America (too)).
