Re: Random Medical and Weird I Find ALWAYS UPDATED * child warning
What helped spark my interest in this pursuit was the 'Anomalies And Curiosities Of Medicine' book that I got a long time ago. I even took it to high school to not only freak them out, but to learn about (the other side). Amazing what's on this thread and I've just gone through a few pages worth. |

The Springer Atlas of Forensic Pathology is a very good resource. It was only after reading it I realised how many shots had been scanned out and uploaded individually to DR and elsewhere. It's a genuine medical textbook so the information and content is very good quality. It's easily downloadable via torrent if that's your thing. |

I take that anti-sez drug and I have to increase it slowly by one tab every two weeks. The doc said if I get ANY kind of rash, to stop taking it and go straight to the ER. No matter what the rash is, just in case.

bileboy, Thanks. I'm more in it for oberving the extremes in human nature, not for the scientific analyses so much. Still, it's interesting to know some background on the causes of the conditions. |

Ah okay, then Springer may not be for you haha - it's as dry as a bone. The photography is excellent, though. 'Massive trauma' is a clinical term that's usually completely unnecessary. Yep, missing your head with your avulsed brain laying neatly next to the shotgun... seems massive enough to me.

What I meant by extremes, is any medical condition that is way beyond normal, like the photos in this thread.

Springer only covers violent demises... good old, down-home, meat and potatoes deaths like blunt force, drownings, firearms homicides. Not a parasite in sight haha.

I hope you don't have that reaction. It's terrible! This is a thread I posted about a woman who had a terrible reaction taking a friend's medication. http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...8/#post4593463 |
