remember previous post with this guy?  a story to go with it - he recovered - unbelievable! This Patient was thrown from Jet Ski were upon he was impaled on a wood pylon, after extrication he was transported to the local trauma center. This patient survived his injuries and was able to keep his leg. Approximately six months following this accident, this man made a full recovery. The patient suffered from a shattered hip, broken leg, several broken ribs, internal injuries and soft tissue damage. Doctors credited his recovery to the actions of both the Paramedics and Firefighters on scene; the post lodged in the coccyx area of the spine, and was lodged so tight that it prevented very little external bleeding preventing massive blood loss. |
