the ones i posted were photographed by a pathologist right out of a fresh corpse

Well, I could be wrong, of course.

But it still doesn't seem right to me.

Snowflakes are formed due to a configuration of crystal lattice.

I am not aware of any crystal lattice that forms pyramidal shapes like that seen here.

Additionally, I believe that gallstones are aggregates rather than crystalline structures which leads me to further suspect there has been some kind of fabrication going on here.

They appear to be ground and polished in a manner that is commonly done with semi-precious stones.


But again, who knows?
