Re: Post Your Injuries!
Before I was properly medicated and had no idea what was wrong with me I used to do some cutting. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 12 years ago and am now no longer feeling the urge to harm myself in order to find a weird sense of relief. These cuts were not intended to kill myself or get attention (very embarrassing) but would in the act itself be very calming. It is very humiliating to have these scars and have to be asked repeatedly what happened to my arms and legs but nothing I can do now but maybe help people and let them know that they are not alone and there is help available....Please go easy on me. |

Re: Post Your Injuries!
I developed RSD/CRPS in my Left hand/arm that has since spread to my left foot/leg after a drunk driver hit me and messed up my neck. Have previously posted my MRI's here somewhere, but here's a nice shot of the staples where they cut to put in the wires for a spinal Column Stimulator to try and ease the pain signals: |

Re: Post Your Injuries!
I had a very close friend for 17 years that cut. Some required stitches. She managed to keep this from her parents for a very long time. Her diagnosis was bipolar/schizoid and a few others. Serious medications she was on..... I feel you. I walked through my friend's life every single day for 17 years. I finally had to stop. It was destroying me. |

Re: Post Your Injuries!
I was 5 years old, when I got kicked in the face by a horse. Had a total of 18 stitches. Amazingly, there were no broken bones and no head injury.

Re: Post Your Injuries!
It was! Couldn't wear proper shoes for ages and I had to wander around work in my socks! Got the boots taken the fuck back and got some that actually fit! I have to be super careful when breaking new shoes in now cos the skin is prone to blistering really easily.
